ALEXANDRA OLIVER
Fine Artist
Alex is a Suffolk based artist and completed her BA (Hons) in Fine Art and History of Art at the University of Leeds. Alex has exhibited all over the UK, including Leeds, London, Cambridge and overseas in Canada. Her work has been complimented by winning the Berkofsky Award in 2019, and being shortlisted for the FUAM Graduate Art Prize.
Alex’s specialty lies in the domain of oil paint, capturing the beauty of local Suffolk landscapes, and this is currently combined with a particular fascination with tree-scapes. With inspiration ranging from the enriched history of the Italian Renaissance in Florence where she studied for a short while once graduating from University, to the Romanticism of the Rococo movement and the Pre-Raphelite Brotherhood, Alex aims to enrich her mark making with gesture and incorporate an atmosphere of movement and drama in her artwork.
Alongside this Alex also has skills completing murals and paintings around atmospheric music and dance.
